This wine is obtained from grapes of Barbera vine variety for at least 85% and other grapes with same colour and variety recommended or authorized around Piacenza province. Maximum production: 13 tons per hectare with a subsequent wine production not exceeding 70%. Barbera has a ruby red colour, with vinaceous hints of grapes and must, dry or sweet taste, savoury, delicate tannic texture, plain or fizzy. Minimum alcohol volume:11,5°C.
Best served with pasta, first courses and sauces, stews and white meats. Barbera is to be served at a temperature of 16° C, and it is also produced in a sparkling variety.
