A Mysterious New Year's Eve at Gropparello Castle
Via Roma 84, Castello di Gropparello
The long road leading to the castle, illuminated by candles, leads our guests to the drawbridge where they will be welcomed by the castle owner who is honoured to accompany them through a guided tour to the venue. At the end, a visit to the Ancient Kitchen rooms is animated by a rich candle-lit aperitif served by a waiter dressed in a typical medieval costume.
The path in the wood that leads the guests to the Masseria is surrounded by redberry bushes: dog-roses, crab apples, the hawthorn, are all illuminated by torches. The Masseria is prepared as a Loggia dei Leoni, decorated with red berries, crystals and holly.
Saxophone music will introduce a romantic night with music and dance from the '60s and '90s.
At midnight sharp the celebrations for the new year begin with a glass of wine under the stars, in between fire fountains and pinwheels, drinking champagne and eating panettone and pastries. And in case you don't have enough...don't miss the tour to the castle haunting ghosts!
If you love dance music, then from half past midnight dance until 1:30 am before eating lentils and cotechino for good luck.
