Province of Piacenza. Welcome to the Official Tourist Information SiteScudo Piacenza

The castle and the village of the area have their own ghost: it is a woman named Aloisa. According to the legend, she was a natural daughter of Giovanni Anguissola, owner of the castle. She was married to a captain in the service of the sovereign, but she had a rather unhappy life: abandoned by her husband, she died of a broken heart and her soul didn't find peace even in death. The inhabitants, frightened, called a medium that showed the way to calm down her: erecting several statues in her likeness (one of them is in via Erba) and offering her small gifts to keep her memory alive. She is said to protect lovers as a sort of "San Valentino" of the village. Her statue is located near Piazza del Biscione.
