Via Emilia
Musso and other chroniclers, in 1180, write: Seno tower has been built in Piacenzas district. Several modifications and reconstructions occurred throughout time, as well as several possessors, among whom, Galvano Landi, the famous Niccolò Piccinico and Lodovico Fogliani, and then again, in 1466, Manfredo Landi. Pope Pio VII, in March 1814, on return from his forced residence in France, stayed here for about two hours. Around the half of 1800,the fortress was handed over to the Sforza Fogliani dukes, relatives of the Landis. The present building contains some elements of the previous castle and has part of the same square plan. Its made of bricks and a portion of square stones, on the inner ward north-eastern side, probably represents the basement of the primitive castle tower. The building, pretty well preserved, has been used as kindergarten, respecting the last will of the donor, duchess , Clelia Sforza Fogliani, since 1921.
